Purpose: The St. Johnís University Libraries support teaching, study, and research for undergraduates and faculty associated with the Physics Department of St. Johnís College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The course schedule includes current offerings.
Undergraduate Programs: The Physics Department offers courses leading to an undergraduate major and minor as part of the Bachelor of Science program in St. John's College. Programs of Study leading to the B.S. in Physics include Mathematical Physics, Physics, and Physical Science. There is also a two-year Physical Science Certificate Program. The B.S./B.E. Combined Degree Program is five-year curriculum in Engineering and Physical Science offered jointly by St. Johnís University and Manhattan College. The Undergraduate Bulletin of St. Johnís College has a complete listing of courses offered at the baccalaureate level.
Graduate Programs: The Physics Department administers the B.S./M.S. Combined Degree Program in Biomedical Engineering. Upon entering, biomedical students declare a major in Physical Science. The program allows qualified students to earn their bachelor of science from St. John's and their master of science in biomedical engineering from Polytechnic University in five years instead of the usual six.
